  4. I think that Walts character is brave, confident and most of all responsible. Walts actions describe his heroic character by him stealing the dogs form the new comers or claim jumpers, he runs away from the claim jumpers while they are shooting at him and he put the wrong dog as the lead dog, and he also stopped for Loren and took him to Dawson so he could record his claim. He could accomplish this as a 14 year old boy that dodged bullets and had to deal with the wrong dog as the lead dog.

  5. Walt is a very brave and confident. He knows what he is doing and that is, protecting Loren Hall's claims. Walt sees 5 suspicious guys which he then realized that they were claim jumpers. so he was sneaking up on them and while he was listening to their conversation, he knew that they were going to jump Loren's claims. For that reason Walt took the Claim Jumpers' dogs and a sled. By that , he helped Loren get to Dawson to record Hall's claim.

  6. i think that Walt is a very brave 14 year-old because of when he stole the sled and the pack of dogs from the claim jumpers. I also think that he a promising person because he kept his promise to watch over loren Hall's land which he did, he even helped Loren Hall record hid land before the claim jumpers could. Another thing is that i think Walt is a smart 14 year-old because he planned to listen to the claim jumpers talking to each other which helped him get to Dawson knowing what he is doing and what the claim jumpers were doing too. After Walt helped Loren record his claim he was called "The King of Mazy May"

  10. That he is very brave, keeps his promise, and never gives up. It discribes his charicter because if he never was brave enough to follow the claim jumpers, he would have never saved loren halls land.
