Welcome, 6th Grade Students!

Hello, 6th Grade Students!!

I am very glad to have you in my English class this year! I hope it is a great, new and interesting experience for you to be in Middle School.

After finishing reading  Just Once, did any of you think of a time when you had a "hang up" about something that you wanted to accomplish, like the Moose wanted to accomplish carrying the ball? Please share your thoughts!

  5. i think one of my biggest hang ups were whenever i heard my cousin could do a trick on a skateboard. Then the hang up was in my mind and then he told me how to do the trick. So i kept practicing and practicing until i finally learned how to do the trick on a skateboard

  11. My biggest Hang-up was when I was playing a basketball as Massis and we were against Ararat. My coach took out a few players so I ended up playing as their positions which I didn't want to play nor was ready to. We have only beat them once and have played against them three times. Next time we will beat them though I promise!!!!

one of the differences in the movie and the story was that the sun came out every 9 years unlike the story which said 7. also in the story it ends after they take Margot out of the closet in the story, in the movie they dont end there they continue and say sorry... I like both the story and the movie because they both are so eye catching and will not give away the ending

  21. The story "All Summer in a Day" that we read had differences with the short film version that we watched.one difference was that in the film version they said that the sun comes out every nine years, but in the story we read it says that it comes out every seven years .
